Located in the Couze valley, around ten kilometres south-west of Brive-la-Gaillarde and surrounded by a peaceful, green natural environment, Lake Causse Corrézien covers 84 hectares at the foot of the villages of Chasteaux and Lissac-sur-Couze.
Renowned for its rowing competitions, this pleasant site is perfect for a spot of relaxation, a picnic stop or a sporty outing. A water sports centre, open all year except for the Christmas holidays, offers sailing, rowing, canoe-kayak, windsurfing, stand up paddle and pedal boats. In summer, you can also take a dip in the water. Two sandy beaches, with supervised bathing in July-August, welcome you to cool off and unwind!
The range of country pursuits is not restricted to water sports: walkers will appreciate the "circum lacustre", a stony path of 7 kilometres around the lake. Introductions to Nordic walking are also available, as are supervised mountain bike outings and climbing sessions on the surrounding cliffs.
