After obtaining French nationality, the German sculptor Jean Arp and his Swiss wife Sophie Taeuber settled in Clamart in 1929. Their home and studio, designed by Sophie in the 1920s, would serve as a place of creation and introduction to the Blaue Reiter movement, founded by the famous painter Vassily Kandinsky.
During a visit to this serene place, at the edge of the Meudon forest, you will be immersed in the artistic world of these two great pioneers of Dadaism and concrete art in the 20th century. In the studio where they put their talents to good use, discover the original personalities of these two creative partners and the works they produced together.
This splendid artists' house is one of the few to survive the death of the people who lived and worked there.
