A coastal town on the island of Grande-Terre, near Anse-Bertrand, Port-Louis has one of the most beautiful beaches in Guadeloupe: Anse du Souffleur beach. With its white sand and turquoise sea, it is a delight for lovers of swimming and sunbathing. A very pleasant place to be, this beautiful beach is ideal for relaxing in the shade of a sea grape bush, enjoying a delicious coconut sorbet or exploring the seabed with a mask and snorkel. Not far from the beach, along the sea, is a picturesque and moving marine cemetery featuring sand tombs adorned with conch shells...
The town of Port-Louis is also worth a visit, with its typical wooden houses and church of Our Lady of Good Aid (Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Secours). The latter, built in the 19th century, has a beautiful Carrara marble altar.
