You will join your captain aboard his boat moored in the marina of Saint-François and get to know the group. Departure is scheduled at 7:15 am for Marie-Galante, which you will reach after 45 minutes of sailing. You will dock in Grand-Bourg, where you will stroll through the colorful alleys and the local market. You will then take a minibus to Château Murat, a former sugar house, a vestige of Guadeloupe's past, which you will visit. You will then hit the road again to go to a rum distillery to learn about the rum making process and enjoy a tasting. You will also taste the drum siwo after being introduced to its manufacture. Your excursion will continue with the discovery of Gueule Grand Gouffre, an impressive natural chasm of 50 meters in diameter, carved by the sea where the elements mix and offers a beautiful vertiginous view of the cliffs and the ocean. You will then return to the beach for lunch a typical Guadeloupean meal consisting of a dish of Creole rice, fish and chicken skewers, and coconut flan. Punch, homemade planter, water and homemade juice will also be offered. After lunch, you will enjoy some swimming time on the beautiful beaches of Marie-Galante. The return to Saint-François is scheduled for around 4 p.m.
