Residence of the estuary

The reception was very friendly, the room was well decorated, provided the requisite facilities and was very clean. Parking is private and secure. The location is only five minutes drive from Blaye and a short drive to a local vineyard which provides excellent wine at reasonable prices. The owners are very genial and provided a lovely breakfast.

A little tricky to find but not impossible - our fault for not using the co-ordinates we were provided with. Very warm welcome, we were given the Chambre 'Nature' which had its own adjoining bathroom.. The room was lovely, bed very comfortable, the bathroom had just about everything you could possibly wish for including a couple of bathrobes. We were asked what time we'd like breakfast and were given loads of choices, including fresh eggs, home made pastries and preserves. During the summer months they have a lovely pool and outdoor kitchen & bbq so longer stays can be thoroughly enjoyed. Our breakfast was a joy, fresh bread, soft boiled eggs, fresh orange juice, local cheeses, home made preserves, fresh coffee, and our lovely hostess had made a caramel mouse and apple tarts as well. Perhaps those were more suited to a lunch or dinner but much appreciated. The local area has a lot to offer as well.
