The Petit Saint-Jean Racecourse is located at Amiens, in the Somme.
Created in 1850, it first hosts gallop races and trotting races from 1870.
The site was remodeled and modernized in 1968, with new stands replacing wooden stands. The racecourse has two tracks: the first grass for galloping races, 1262 m long, the second in pozzolana (volcanic sand) for trotting events, 1142 m long.
The specificity of the racetrack Amiens is to be able to schedule races at night and classified regional pole, it hosts a total of 25 meetings each year, giving rise to betting on the national level. In addition to its sports facilities, the site has 2000-capacity parking, children's play areas and a panoramic restaurant.
In addition to horse racing, it can also host business seminars and occasionally sports events from other disciplines, as was the case in 2012 with the French Archery Championships.
