In its green vineyards and forests, the city of Andlau part of a magnificent landscape. Andlau developed around the abbey, founded in 880 by Richarde, wife of the Carolingian Charles the Fat. It became the stronghold of the family Andlau, the town has its own coat of arms. City wine and gastronomy, place des Grands Crus of Alsace (Kastelberg - Wiebelsberg - Moenchberg) Andlau houses a remarkable architectural heritage: St. Richarde abbey, castles Spesbourg and Upper Andlau, numerous Renaissance pieces of stone and wood ... Romanesque sculpture is in the foreground. While respecting tradition, Andlau turned to the future: the city boasts some 700 industrial jobs or service.
