Arras is a rural village of about 500 inhabitants, located in the Rhone valley along RN 86. It is distinguished by far by a keep that proudly stands 28 meters high on a promontory overlooking the village, a vestige of an old feudal castle, which was part of a defense system installed on the right bank of the Rhone.

Arras is a Roman station located on the "Aratica" road that connected Alba to Vienna. Roman monuments found near the church are now visible at the castle museum Tournon

A dam on the Rhone built in the late sixties is also a local curiosity.

The tradition of the vine is also a reference on Arras. Two wineries where Saint Joseph and Syrah are vinified are present in Arras, as well as other winemakers who are cooperators.

In Ardèche, you can taste the Ardèche rennet and many chestnut recipes. In the woods of Lalouvesc, a village fifteen minutes' drive from Arras on the mountain, we pick up the blueberries to make pies, jams and all kinds of desserts.
