Municipality of Gironde located in Entre-deux-Mers, on the left bank of the Dordogne, Arveyres takes place not far from Fronsac, Libourne and Vayres, about twenty kilometers from Bordeaux.
Known for its agricultural and viticultural activity, with a large part of the municipal territory occupied by vines, Arveyres appears for the first time in the registers at the end of the 11th century. Property of the Order of the Templars of Saint John of Jerusalem at the end of the 12th century, it therefore saw the establishment of a commandery.
From now on, Arveyres is mainly focused on tourism, as well as the production of Graves-de-Vayres, wine with a controlled designation of origin.
