Small village of the Ariege, in Occitan region Aston takes place about thirty kilometers from Foix, in the heart of the Pyrenees. It is located on the banks of the Aston and Quiol on the border of the Principality of Andorra, near the Plateau de Beille and Fontargente collar.
At the heart of a green country, the village was originally a rural town known for its grazing and farming activities, and until the industrialization of the region.
