Municipality of Meurthe-et-Moselle, Auboué takes place in the former mining basin of the three valleys. Located on the banks of the Orne, it is located eighty kilometers from Nancy, not far from Moutiers, Joeuf, Moineville or Roncourt.
Former border village between Germany and France between 1871 and 1918, Auboué saw its territory occupied from the time of the Upper Paleolithic, as evidenced by the remains found on the spot. Populated during the Gallo-Roman era, the town developed mainly in the Middle Ages, thanks to its forges. The iron and steel mills will definitively close in the 1960s with the decline of this industry.
Today, Auboué continues to seduce by the charm of its modest architectural heritage, but also by its ideal geographical location to discover the most beautiful sites of the department.
