Auby

Now owned by the city, the castle of Auby was erected in the 18th century. School, canteen, library, it was transformed into a media library in the late 1980s. It consists of a central body flanked by two Spanish-style wings with decorative turrets. Its park and gardens are accessible to the public.

While strolling through Auby, be sure to admire the old town hall. Formerly housed in a 19th century church in the neo-classical style, it has undergone several transformations. You will also be able to appreciate a bandstand from the beginning of the 20th century erected on the remains of the old park of the Château.

Several religious buildings are also visible, such as the Notre-Dame-de-la-Visitation church from the 1960s, the church of the cities of pit 6 of the Escarpelle mines, the chapel Saint-Joseph from the 19th century or the Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours chapel.

During your discovery of the town, you will admire an old grain mill from the 18th century, largely destroyed at the beginning of the 20th century.

Concerts are organized in June on the occasion of the Fête de la Musique.

In September, place at the carnival and its rides.

A Christmas market is offered every year in December.
