Auriac-sur-Vendinelle

The village of Auriac-sur-Vendinelle fully fortified in the twelfth century was built around the castle. The church was built gradually from the castle chapel. Today, the entrance to the church is none other than a castle tower. The current tower was built from the dungeon.

One can find in the village hall a framed wooden ancestor of masonry halls.

Formerly the old bridge dating from the fifteenth century allowed the Loubens canopy to collect a tax on market days.

The Romanesque Noumérens church steeple turned the wall to the west. In the Middle Ages, it is likely the salt route and the road to Saint Jacques de Compostela will Arles in Toulouse.

Every Tuesday morning is held under the covered market, the local market. Also on the first Sunday of the month is held the regional market.
The year begins with the taste of the old community center. Served by municipal councilors, the afternoon was punctuated by songs and dances. And that's reddened face that diners are leaving late, happy of this event that allows them to start the new year with a heart full of joy.
In the spring, it is the "Mounjetado" which brings together auriacais. Beans and sausages make up most of this meal menu that is more than thirty editions. The evening ends with a dance hall that allows digestion with music and dances.
The Streets Festival of Auriac-sur-Vendinelle: In the heart of Lauragais, this is an appointment that announces the heyday is taking time to an afternoon and an evening around street performances, popular and all.
On May 1 the children's fishing competition (in the morning) and adults (afternoon) brings together all lovers of the township and well beyond. Many awards recognize the most skilful. Trout had better watch out!
During the Ascension weekend is held the football tournament in sixth hosting no less than fifteen teams around.
In late May the famous flea market of Auriac spreads in many streets of the city.
Mid-June subdivision partied and organize its lottery home.
On July 14, the Republic is celebrated by the "democratic lunch" where at 8 am just sitting down bravest. But the morning since fat is permitted until 10 councilors are always there to serve you.
In late August, is the feast of Noumérens.
Around the second weekend in September is the local party.
