The village of Auriac-sur-Vendinelle fully fortified in the twelfth century was built around the castle. The church was built gradually from the castle chapel. Today, the entrance to the church is none other than a castle tower. The current tower was built from the dungeon.
One can find in the village hall a framed wooden ancestor of masonry halls.
Formerly the old bridge dating from the fifteenth century allowed the Loubens canopy to collect a tax on market days.
