Old medieval village located in the Alpes-Maritimes, Auribeau-sur-Siagne takes place about forty kilometers from Nice and its famous Promenade des Anglais. The town is located between Cannes and Grasse, on a rocky spur overlooking the Siagne.
Founded in the eleventh century, the commune of Auribeau-sur-Siagne was then part of the grouping of hilltop villages built to protect the inhabitants from attacks from outside. Populated since 600 BC, as evidenced by the remains of an oppidum found nearby, the territory has experienced many invasions, like the sacking of the War of Spanish Succession at the beginning of Eighteenth century.
Always full of charm because of its unique setting and its exceptional panorama, the city of Auribeau-sur-Siagne also has an interesting historical heritage to discover the time of a stay of a few days.
