Located in the department of Aude, the common Belvianes-et-Cavirac set at the foot of the Pyrenees, at the entrance of the throats of Pierre-Lys. Village is separated into two by the Aude therethrough, Belvianes one side, and Cavirac another. The two merged in 1833 to form the town as we know it today.
The village take its name from an ancient Gallo-Roman villa that once belonged to a certain Balbius. Today Belvianes-et-Cavirac is best known for its natural heritage and its extraordinary landscapes. Surrounded by the Pyrenees mountains, the village is perfect for lovers of outdoor life and sports activities. Hiking trails abound in this beautiful place.
