The small town of Comtoise character, the commune of Bermont takes place on the Territory of Belfort, in the Burgundy-Franche-Comté region. It is located on a limestone spur of 350 meters, respectively seven and fifteen kilometers from Belfort and Montbéliard.
Village from the XIIth century, Bermont takes its name from the Latin Bellemonte meaning Beau Mont. The commune owes its economic development to the construction of the canal of the Haute Saône dedicated to the service of the collieries of Ronchamp. Even today, some pleasure boats take this river road, while tourists enjoy the shores laid out for hiking or cycling.
Benefiting from a real tourist attraction because of its proximity to the most beautiful cities of the region and its natural heritage, Bermont attracts visitors of passage wanting to imbibe the local culture.
