Located on the heights of the Rhône, the Château de Cordon or Château de la Barre, is a former fortified castle from the Middle Ages. Completely remodeled in the 20th century, it was originally the center of the seigneury of La Barre. Founded by vassals of the Counts of Savoy, it still presents today many old elements, like the square keep with six levels culminating at more than thirty meters.
The Château de Cordon also has 13th century fortifications to discover via a marked hiking trail. Inhabited private property, it is only visible from the outside.
