Rentilly Castle, built under the orders of Jean Bourdereul, a lawyer in parliament, dates from the early sixteenth century. It was bought by Jean de Ligny, secretary of King Henri IV and his wife Anne Duguet, in 1599, who ordered a complete reconstruction of the building. He is then given by legacy to his daughter, Princess de Furstenberg, who herself bequeaths it to her daughter. This one built in 1697 a chapel on the field. She gets, 12 years later, that the villagers can come to pray without having to go to the Bussy-Saint-Martin church too far away.
In 2001, the Agglomeration Community of Marne and Gondoire set up its headquarters there.
Since 2014, this area has been a center dedicated to contemporary art.
