Typically solognot historic village in the heart of the Sologne, Chaumont-sur-Tharonne is a crossroads between Orleans and Blois Chambord. Once royal stronghold and provost, the village spreads around the church of the 15th and 16th centuries and three places. The municipality covers 8,000 hectares, 90% of crossings by 60 km of communal roads forests. The village consists of about 1100 inhabitants.
