The heart of the city is nestled in the valley between La Bresse Moselotte Saulxures, with several dispersed hamlets along streams habitat: the hamlet Xoulces occupies a valley that extends into the Nature Reserve Grand Ventron up at the inn of the same name is that of Travexin towards Ventron and Thillot. The adrets saw the establishment of farms and chalets: Cornimont the Law, the Law of Xoulces, Parfongoutte, Brabant .... Its highest point is the Grand Ventron to 1205 m above sea level and the lowest point is 493 m.
