Located in the south of the Hauts-de-France region and the north of ÎIe-de-France, Creil is the 3rd city in the Oise department in terms of population. Its inhabitants are called Creilloises and Creillois.
The city extends on both sides of the Oise river, the true link of the city and which gave its name to the department.
With more than 36,000 inhabitants, a third of whom are under the age of twenty, Creil asserts itself as the leading medium-sized town, north of Paris. Gateway to the Oise Regional Natural Park, the town is crossed by the Oise river. This geographical location allows its inhabitants to benefit from a dense natural environment and a large number of green spaces.
Creil is also an open and accessible city served by the A1 and A16 motorways and close to 2 airports (Roissy-Charles de Gaulle and Beauvais-Tillé). Its station, attracting nearly 20,000 passengers per day, allows you to reach Paris-Gare du Nord by train and RER D in 25 minutes.
