The small town of Cunfin is located in the department of Aube and is part of the district of Troyes. It has 25 hectares of Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée Champagne. Its church located 257 meters above sea level is worth a visit.
Cunfin has long been considered one of the densest forests the Druids regularly retreated to. Gallo-Roman tombs were found in the cemetery. The village was known because it was a stopover for Saint Bernard de Clairvaux on his journey from Molesme to Clairvaux. He would have done two miracles.
In 1846, the village had 1252 inhabitants. At the lowest, the number of inhabitants fell to 187. The number of inhabitants has increased slightly in recent years.
