Small town of Calvados, in Normandy, Cuverville takes place at ten kilometers of Caen and its famous ducal castle. It is located in the heart of the plain of Caen, not far from Mondeville, Hérouvillette and Cagny.
Formerly a Gallo-Roman villa, the Norman city, formerly known as Culvert villa, Cuvervilla or Culvervilla, lives a relatively peaceful history until the end of the Second World War. The town was destroyed nearly 85% at this time, seeing 15% of its population killed or wounded by fighting and bombing. Released in July 1944, following the landing of June 6, she received the Croix de Guerre in 1948.
Despite its many destructions, the city continues to seduce visitors with its modest architectural heritage that bears witness to an ancient history.
