Dozulé is a town located north of the Pays d'Auge, a few miles from the sea, in the middle of Normandy. Easy access by road to Caen Pont l'Eveque, or just by the A13 motorway. Ideal gateway for exploring the countryside Auge, its calm, its cider and cheese production, heritage and history.
The municipality of Dozulé was initially called the Esmangard Plessis, and the current name dates from the Hundred Years War after the village was burned by the troops of the English king Edward the third in his first big ride in 1346, opening the period of the Hundred Years War. The residents would then be called the "Burnt Back," which has evolved over time by alteration of language to become "Dozulé".
