As part of the Versailles Grand Parc conurbation, La Celle-Saint-Cloud intends to spread its influence. With a remarkable historical heritage, the city also boasts a vast territory ranging from the eastern and western slopes of the Drionne valley to a good part of the Versailles plateau. The space is very strongly urbanized with some suburban districts of all beauty. However, it has managed to preserve some wooded areas to the south and west, notably a part of the forest of False-Reposes. Already mentioned in 697 in the obituary of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the commune until then under the cup of the abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés was bought to enlarge the royal hunting ground in 1683. Things to see and do

During your stay in La Celle-Saint-Cloud, you will have the opportunity to discover the historical heritage of the city during two rallies through the streets. In duo or among friends, you can admire different buildings straight out of the past. Starting with the Saint-Pierre Saint-Paul church dating back to the 18th century. Always of the same century, the castle of the Celle is classified to Historic Monuments. The former castle of La Châtaigneraie dating from the 19th century is today known as the castle of the estate of St. Francis of Assisi. As you walk through the woods of Fausses-Reposes, you will cross the road to the hunting lodge of Louis XV. Built in 1750 and perfectly preserved, this pavilion of the Butard is classified Historic Monuments. From the castle of Beauregard dating from the twelfth century, there remains only the imposing pediment on the place of the Count of Bendern. Finally, the visit ends with Notre-Dame church and its presbytery built between 1964 and 1968.

After this stroll in the past time, you may want to unwind. A small dip in the municipal swimming pool will be welcome. Many sports facilities are at your disposal. Unless you prefer a stroll in the woods of Tournebride. You would be wrong not to go there, this wood is full of remarkable varieties of trees including ancestral chestnut trees. With a green flow of pond, wood and forest that occupies 35% of the territory, you have enough to breathe! Moreover, several circuits are at your disposal for a walk in full nature close to Paris. You can discover the Bois de Beauregard, the Jonchère forest park or the Grande Terre park, the castle park and the laundry garden.

Events and festivities

The season of events starts in September with the day of associations. It is an opportunity to discover the cultural and sporting activities they offer you throughout the year.

The 1st weekend of December, Celle-Saint-Cloud says bye bye to the year celebrating the time of a weekend the opening of the Christmas festivities. This is a convivial and popular moment for young and old alike. It is the moment when the illuminations of Christmas light finally.

In November and December, the Route des Contes takes young and old to the fairy-tale world by organizing parties, snacks... always around the tale. You will have the opportunity to participate in many events during this period.
