La Verpillière

Strolling down the streets of the city you can discover ancient architecture of great interest, beginning with the fortified house of the fourteenth century Verpillière or home Girier. Large XIXth, it now hosts the marriage hall of the city, and an exhibition space. Be sure not to admire St. Mary externship, a certified building heritage of the twentieth century and designed by architect George Adilon.

Built in the early nineteenth century, the Saint-Denis church is itself a fine example of neoclassical architecture. It is possible to admire the outdoor tripartite facade and elegant furniture indoors.

While passing through the area, you can explore the boulder to wells of the city, an impressive megalith serving for the memorial.

Rewarded with a flower in the competition of cities and villages in bloom in France, the city of La Verpillière reveals a natural heritage of great interest to discover through various marked hiking trails that lead into the valley Bourbre or Catelan.

Markets are held every Tuesday and Sunday morning.

In May, the festival offers a fully Festifox tour programming to pop rock.

Concerts are offered in June on the occasion of Music Day.

A popular dance and fireworks take place July 14 on the occasion of the national holiday.

A Christmas market is offered late in the year with entertainment.
