Town in the Loire region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Le Coteau takes up to eighty kilometers from Saint-Etienne, on the banks of the Loire. It lies not far from Riorges, Roanne or Perreux.
Over the centuries, Le Coteau coined the pleasant face and dynamic we see today, especially knowing an important economic development through river traffic in the fifteenth century with the arrival of the railways in the nineteenth century. Erected in town in 1845 by decree of King Louis-Philippe, it continues to attract visitors with its rich architectural heritage as much as by his radiant nature that earned him two flowers in the contest of Cities and flowered Villages of France.
