Marignier

Renovated in the late twentieth century, the church Saint-Maurice reveals its visitors a beautiful bell tower of the eighteenth century, typical element of the Savoyard architecture. It was rebuilt in the mid-1950s on the ruins of the old church of the eighteenth century.

The old bridge was the only crossing point on the Giffre, until the arrival of the railways in the nineteenth century. The present building dates from the late eighteenth century and was particularly taken by Napoleon III.

Hiking trails that cross Marignier are numerous and allow to enjoy the mountain scenery of the surroundings. We can note in particular those to the Mole or the tip of Orchex.

Marignier The market takes place every Friday morning.

In February, a carnival is organized with a parade of floats.

A beer festival is offered every year in March.

Enthusiasts can participate in plant barter market in April.

The trail of the Mole is held annually in May.
