Located in the heart of the Marne, the castle of Montmirail was built in the 16th century before being bought by Louvois, then Louis XIV's minister, at the end of the 17th century.
Listed as an historic monument, the building is now open to the public who can discover a park designed in part by Le Nôtre, period furniture, the Napoleonic museum or the old orangery. Over time, it has welcomed many illustrious guests such as Napoleon on the eve of the battle during the French Campaign or Louis XIV, the famous Sun King.
The castle of Montmirail is the scene of many activities throughout the year such as guided tours, exhibitions, treasure hunts or shows or gastronomic and costumed dinners.
