The Guéry cross-country ski resort is located in the town of Orcival, in Puy-de-Dôme, 25 km south-west of Clermont-Ferrand.
Located on a plateau on the edge of a lake, in the south of the territory, between the Puys chain and the Puy de Sancy, it is dedicated to "Nordic" activities.
In a landscaped setting dotted with wooded areas along the frozen lake in winter, 58 km of cross-country ski trails are available from the Center Montagnard Cap Guéry (i.e. 2 green runs, 1 blue, 1 red and 1 black). Amateurs can rent their equipment from the Centre.
In addition, 20 km of marked trails for snowshoeing are accessible, i.e. 3 routes of 4.5, 5.5 and 10 km as well as a toboggan run. Finally, note the possibility of outings with sled dogs.
Open from December to March (depending on the snow cover), these slopes are next to an accommodation center open all year round for groups or individuals, and an open-air "kota grill" is available (caution: do not forget to bring your own charcoal for an unforgettable Nordic barbecue party!).
Base price for cross-country skiing: from 3.90 to 8.50 euros per day depending on age (pass possible for stays). Equipment rental extra. Information on +33 4 73 65 20 09.
