Located in rue de Varenne, in the 7th district of Paris, the hotel de Castries was built between the end of the 17th and the beginning of the 18th century. Classified as an historic monument, it was profoundly modified in the middle of the 19th century by the Duke of Castries who gave it his name.
Hand-in-hand over the centuries, the building was requisitioned by the Domaines to house the Ministry of Agriculture in 1946. Welcome place for the offices of the Ministry of Solidarity and Social Cohesion between 2010 and 2012 Since May 2017, the Hotel de Castries has housed the Ministry of Territorial Cohesion.
