Located on Place de la Porte-de-Versailles, in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, the Palais des Sports, or Dome of Paris, was designed in the early 1960s by Pierre Dufau. The latter has made the largest freestanding light alloy dome in the world. This incredible structure consists of 1,100 aluminum panels of 200 tons and has been listed as an historic monument.
Covering an area of almost 4,000 m², the Paris Sports Palace has received the biggest shows in the country and around the world since its opening. With a capacity of up to 4,600 spectators, it has hosted over the years great names in music such as Johnny Hallyday, James Brown, Iggy Pop or Elton John, but also performances of musicals to global success such as that the Ten Commandments, Our Lady of Paris or Starmania.
The humor, the sport, the dance or the circus are also honored each year during performances full house.
