Ideally located at the mouth of the great Rhone, between the river and the sea, Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône is one of three gateways to the wild Camargue.

The vocation of the city's "World's End" has not always been tourism: in fact, born early in the century around the port activity, it has over the years to adapt to economic realities and to draw a new face.

It now relies on its natural heritage and cultural identity to revitalize its territory, the value and make every effort to preserve that quality of life.

Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône Camargue is a land, the city entered the Camargue Regional Nature Park in February 2011, between the Rhone and the Crau. White horses, bulls, pink flamingos and many other hundreds of birds (mallards, coots, egrets, teals ...) have taken up residence. Wilderness of the Camargue, hit by the winds, Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône affirms its maritime tradition with fishermen and sailors from all backgrounds.

For many years, sailing and water sports are booming thanks to high-quality infrastructure, with two blue flags, which can accommodate browsers of all countries. Its location was ideal, midway between Italy and Spain, 6 ports afloat, two dry ports, will offer all the services: construction, repair, maintenance, supplies, with a capacity of 4400 boats of all units, and two fishing ports.

Many families were already living on fishing, when the town was founded in 1904, where a tradition of maritime professions deeply rooted in the culture Saint Louisians. Carteau of L'Anse, is an exceptional site for growing mussels and shellfish, representing around 10% of national production. The mold is a shell Carteau quality, fleshy and tasty to discover and enjoy.
