Village of the Somme, in the Hauts-de-France region, Saint-Quentin-la-Motte-Croix-au-Bailly takes place in the heart of the Baie de Somme Picardie Maritime Regional Nature Park. It is located eighty kilometers from Amiens, not far from Friaucourt, Béthencourt-sur-Mert and Oust-Marest.
Former property of the priory of Eu, the commune of Saint-Quentin-la-Motte-Croix-au-Bailly subsequently passed into the hands of the fief of La Motte, and this, until the French Revolution. It then became famous during the Second World War, with the death of Allied airmen shot down by German troops.
