Located on the edge of clay Champagne moist alluvium of the Marne valley, crossed by three streams that converge to form the Isson or Radet, Saint-Remy-en-Bouzemont has an ancient origin: the church, Saint Remi, dedicated to the holy bishop of Reims who baptized Clovis in the late 5th century, was the Merovingian heart of a hamlet depending on the locality Bouzemont (probable etymology: Bosonis Mons, Mount of Boson) which remains only the name of a locality.
