Things to see and do

Saint-Satur presents many tourist and architectural interests.

The Saint-Pierre abbey, listed in the Historic Monuments, was built from the 14th century and bears witness to the powerful abbey that was established on the banks of the Loire. Formerly belonging to the order of Saint Augustine, it now serves as the parish church in the city.

As you walk around Saint-Satur, you can also admire the curvilinear viaduct made entirely of stone, which once supported the railway track. The train does not pass there any more but do not hesitate to take this viaduct, on foot, by bike or by car, in order to benefit from the point of view which it offers on the city and the vineyard which surrounds it.

The landscaped edges of the Loire are the ideal place for Sunday walks and family picnics. At the edge of the river, in the historic district of "Saint-Thibault", you will be able to find the vestiges of the mariners of the Loire who were installed there, very close to the river, and in particular the chapel of the latter.

For a stroll on the river, take the Raboliot! Its captain, Sylvain, will make you discover the richness of the flora and fauna of this river.
