Located in the heart of the Marne, Suippes is a town in the countryside green and an exceptionally rich historical heritage.
Located at the crossroads of two major thoroughfares, Rouen / Metz and Sedan / Nevers, the city of Suippes was built around the river that runs through, during a special military history. Affected by the two world wars, Suippes hosts a military camp of 13,500 hectares occupied by three regiments. Anxious to preserve the duty of memory, the town ensures perpetuate the history of its territory, including through the Interpretation Centre Marne 14-18, the military cemeteries, the war memorial and the monument of shot Corporals Souain.
The wealth of the territory is also of historical heritage: the Saint-Martin church, the fifteenth century, in which one can admire a wooden statue of the Christ of Mercy, both classified as Historic Monuments.
