Lake of Razisse

The lake of Razisse, also called dam of the Razisse dam, takes place in the department of Tarn, Occitan region. Located on the town of Teillet, it is an artificial lake with an area of ​​more than one square kilometer.

Accessible via several hiking trails marked on foot or by mountain bike, as well as by car, Lake Razisse allows to discover the ruins of the castle of Grandval. A 15th century building rebuilt in the 18th century, it was completely burned in 1944 by the Germans, before being drowned by the dam's waters in the mid-1950s.

Not far, the Razisse leisure center is one of the three centers of the Tarn department with Sérénac and Sivens. Created in 1969 and recently renovated, the base hosts holiday centers, discovery classes, sports clubs, associations or even works councils. It is equipped with two activity rooms, a gymnasium, a games room, a basketball court or an outdoor football pitch.

You will find near the lake Razisse a rock climbing, various hiking trails, or a rope course. A restaurant, lodgings, a riding center or a campsite are also present on site.
