Located in the foothills of the Hautes-Vosges, at the entrance to the valley of the Thur, a few miles west of Mulhouse, Vieux-Thann is a small village coquette, nestled in lush greenery. More than a thousand years, the village became town, welcomed the early Middle Ages and craft activities that allowed industrial development. For three centuries, the paper produced a paper whose quality was recognized throughout Europe. Early in the 19th century, the textile and mechanics took over for two centuries of prosperity. Sign of the times, these activities have now disappeared. However, with its shops, its inter-industrial area and its industrial zone, Vieux-Thann remains a city of the future, dynamic, in which to live.
