Viuz-en-Sallaz is a town in the Haute-Savoie region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, 20 km southeast of Annemasse.

Its territory of about 22 km² which ranges from 550 to 1500 m of altitude this rural landscape features medium mountain.

The resort has a village to the south, and many hamlets, the northern half of the town rising gradually toward the northwest at Mount Vouan, which rises to 978 meters and north-east where was implemented the ski resort of Brasses.

Belonging to the Middle Ages the lords of Faucigny then bequeathed to the bishops of Geneva, Viuz-en-Sallaz was known for its stone quarries operated millstone at Mount Vouan and its privileged position at the crossroads of Switzerland and Savoy.

The city currently has about 4300 inhabitants but retained a heritage of interest, a heart of town flourished and a surrounding green countryside and conducive to sports "nature" (including the Brasses). Things to see and do

In the town of Viuz few sites worth wealth in terms of attention.

This is the case of St. Blaise church rebuilt in neo-classical style during the first third of the nineteenth century to replace a church sixteenth become cramped. Protected as historic monuments, the building has been decorated by artists from Piedmont, like painters Tomasso and Giuseppe Magni, specialists sham.
