Exposition - Pascal DEJAMMET

- The Ahun premises of the Creuse Sud-Ouest tourist office return to their usual exhibition schedule. - Pascal Dejammet, an artist from the Creuse, is retired from the French Ministry of Education. His studies in the plastic arts led him towards an artistic milieu with which he has been actively renewing contact for several years. - The exhibition he is unveiling depicts women. He used portraits and bodies painted by a dozen artists from the 16th to the 19th centuries. The details extracted from the works are sometimes surprising, thanks to the choice of framing. In the course of the exhibition, certain key celebrities such as Mona Lisa and her famous "twin" with the pearl are (partially) revealed. Whether bathers, recliners, models, slaves or dancers, they reveal themselves through "extracts" chosen and painted by the artist.
Open Gardens

- June is garden month… A group of garden enthusiasts from Ahun and surrounding towns are opening up their little (or big) corners of paradise to the curious and amateur alike, with the Open Gardens association. There will be 4 gardens to discover : cactus and vegetable garden, permaculture garden, wooded park, ornamental garden in a remarkable setting or at the end of a woodland path, small intimate and secret garden… - In addition to the pleasure of these convivial moments, the proceeds from these visits will benefit children or young people suffering from illnesses or disabilities. - Gardens : n°13 Bon Saint Jean, n°10 Montcouyoux, Notre Dame du Moulin (ex Moulin du Compte) - At 3pm, poetry readings in the Chantemille garden (n°11) near the château. You can also picnic between 12 and 2pm.
