- To mark the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings, the Compagnie Mobilo-Lyricus is offering an original musical project : Swing for Victory ? - Les Jingle Belles, as you've never seen them before, perform the greatest ? Big Band ? Hits of the 1930s and 40s ? A tribute to the famous female vocal trio of the 1940s, the Andrews Sisters, who marked the history of jazz and popular music with their tight harmonies, swing and varied repertoire. Lauren Van Kempen, Lexie Kendricks and Devon Grave will cover the group's greatest hits, including "Bei Mir Bist Du Schön", "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy", "Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree" and "Rum and Coca Cola". They will be accompanied by the jazz orchestra of the Musique de l'Air et de l'Espace, a prestigious and versatile French military band. The nine-piece orchestra will play the Andrews Sisters ? Original arrangements, as well as more modern and creative adaptations. The concert will also be an opportunity to discover the history and personality of the Andrews Sisters, who were ambassadors of American culture the world over, as well as committed and generous artists who supported Allied troops during the Second World War and took part in numerous charitable works. This concert is therefore both a musical spectacle of the highest quality, faithful to the spirit and style of the Andrews Sisters, and a vibrant tribute to these exceptional women who marked their era and inspired many generations of artists. Benjamin PRAS is the pianist who will accompany them. He is pianist of the improvised musical ? NEW ?, currently co-titular organist of the Eglise Saint Thomas d ? Aquin in Paris, assistant organist of the Eglise du Val-de-Grâce, pianist of the Cirque d ? Hiver orchestra and conductor at Lido2 Paris.
