Less rich than its counterpart from Vendée, Normandygâche(gâcheNormande) is a rounded oval brioche that is nonetheless full of flavour. It is made traditionally of flour, milk, butter, eggs, yeast and salt. The dough is then kneaded, left to rest for an hour, and baked in the oven for 45 minutes.
The very tasty Normandy gâche can be eaten as it is, with butter, jam or chocolate, for breakfast or an afternoon snack. It can also be enjoyed with a delicious glass of farm cider.
