The Castrice Walk

Depart from the town of Charleville-Mézières, latitude 49.7736700 (N 49° 46’ 25”), longitude 4.7203400 (E 4° 43’ 13”)

• Marina

• After the path under the municipal campsite along the Meuse and arrived at the Jean Delautre nautical base (rowing, canoeing), you arrive at the marina. Cross the bridge over the harbour entrance and continue along the river. You pass along the plain of Mount Olympus (games, basketball courts,...).

• Rue du Moulin

• Leaving the Tourist Office, you take a left under the arcades to turn left rue du Moulin (formerly Rue Saint Charles) and go all the way (to the Meuse) at the foot of the Old Mill.

• Mount Olympus Bridge

• Arrived at the bottom of Rue du Moulin, cross on the pedestrian crossing, pass to the right of the Old Mill and cross the footbridge on the bypass channel that once turned the wheels of the mill (see legs) - note the 1995 plate that indicates the water level reached during the last great flood of the river. Cross the garden of the Ile du Vieux Moulin - go see on the right the work of Henri Bouchard "The Ploughman" -
