From the spa resort of La Léchère, head towards Notre-Dame-de-Briançon and then take the Col de la Madeleine road.
The start of the walk is at the Celliers gondola.
Starting from the parking lot of the Celliers cable car (1270), go down the road for a few meters and take an agricultural path which leads to La Thuile (1190 m), a small hamlet in which there are several fountains.
Cross the hamlet and go straight back towards the forest. The crossing of the forest is carried out on a small path in the shade where it is possible to come across squirrels or deer and does. The instructions are simple and there are no particularly technical passages. Only one or two portions have a fairly steep slope at the edge of the path which can make people prone to vertigo uncomfortable.
At the exit of the forest (1500 m), take the road for around 200 m then make a small passage between the trees.
Go down towards Celliers along the Bridan stream. This descent gives a splendid view up to Mont Blanc when the weather permits! In addition, it crosses a wetland in which it is possible to observe - but not pick - various plants such as orchids or carnivorous plants (for example the common butterwort or the Alpine butterwort).
Cross the stream by a bridge and reach the Celliers car park by taking the road for the last 500 m.
