From Montlucon, follow the D2144 to the bridge of Menat (passing Sioul). Just after the bridge, take the road on the right towards Saint-Rémy-de-Blot and Château Rocher. You see the castle that overlooks the road.
From Clermont-Ferrand, follow the D2144, pass the village Saint-Pardoux, after 1 km turn left and Saint-Rémy-de-Blot Château Rocher.
Start hiking Saint-Rémy-de-Blot, parking in front of City Hall and facing the Auberge du Château.
Departure: Parking in front of City Hall.
Take the road up to the Inn. After 300m, take the dirt road on the right. The down to a junction where it continues to the right. Follow this path and go down to the creek
Cross the stream and go left towards Château Rocher. At the next intersection, turn left to the road.
Follow the road left for 400 m. In the left turn across the parking lot, leaving the road to ride on the left a trail that climbs into the woods. Go past the ruins of Château Rocher, enjoy views of the gorges and the Sioule Menat bridge below (when the castle is closed, the bypass remains possible attention to the precipice). Then continue up until Blot Rocher.
In the hamlet, go up the road on the right. Continue through the grassy path, then straight. Pass a cross and continue up the road that we take right to reach the starting point.
