This walk offers the chance to discover the tormented relief of the Artnese plateau. Visit the hamlet of Charlut built against a basalt rock peak. Pass through the forest (Monge forest) to the edge of Crégut glacial lake, then visit the grassy shores of Tact Lake, before arriving in Laspialade, where you will see two peat bogs with their mounds covered with plants.

Access

Depart from the town of Saint-Genès-Champespe along the Montboudif road and take the first road on the right.

Itinerary

From the village square, make your way towards Montboudif, then the first path on the right which leads to the hamlet of Charlut. Pass through this hamlet and take the forest trail on the right which leads to the hamlet of Crégut. Pass next to Crégut Lake. Follow the signposted path along Crégut Lake then Tact Lake. Continue to the hamlet of Laspialade following the signposted forest path which then leads to the hamlet of "Les Vergnauds". Continue along the tarmac road to the D28. Turn right at the intersection of the two roads. Return to Saint-Genès, where you started out.
