The Little Essart

Depart from the town of Grand-Couronne, latitude 49.3381200 (N 49° 20’ 17”), longitude 1.0293800 (E 1° 1’ 46”)

• Starting point: jean Coiffier Leisure Centre car park in Grand-Couronne

• The loop is marked, the starting totem is located near the parking lot of the Jean Coiffier leisure centre. You must follow the yellow markup.
• Parking possible in the parking lot of the Jean Coiffier leisure centre.
• Leave the parking lot and head to your left towards the forest. There, you will find the starting totem that invites you to take the large paved forest driveway to enter the forest. Follow this driveway straight for about 500 metres.

• When you can't go straight, turn right and chase the forest driveway for more than two kilometres to reach the bottom of the talweg. In particular, you will discover a remarkable tree: the beech ventru.
• The lady's oak

• Then leave the large forest path by taking a right of the path that goes up towards the oak at Madame and the edge of the forest. You can also observe a pond on your left along the way.

• Arriving at the edge of the forest, enjoy a moment of rest to admire the panorama offered on the Seine Valley. Otherwise, fork on your right and continue your walk in the Departmental Forest of the Fathers' Wood.
• Father's Wood

• Continue along the forest driveway, straight to the edge of the forest. On your way you can admire another remarkable tree: the holed beech tree.

• The fields

• Once out of the forest, turn right through fields to reach the street from the woodsfield to Grand Crown. Once you have reached the street of the woodfield, turn right to reach the car park.
