In the footsteps of Jacobsen - Ile de Noirmoutier

• Departure - Jacobsen Pier

• Take the Jacobsen Jetty, built in 1812 to channel the entrance to the harbor and gain new farmland. You discover on one side the port of Noirmoutier and its cemetery boats and on the other, the nature reserve of Müllembourg. To your binoculars!

• Fort Larron

• At Fort Larron, the former defensive site of the port, you enjoy a breathtaking view of the Castle and Saint Philbert Church and the Bay of Bourgneuf.

• Ladies Beach

• At the end of the Ladies beach, the pier offers a superb view of the Tour Plantier, the beach of Anse Rouge and further that of the Souzeaux. Their beach cabins reflect the seaside tradition of the 1920s.

• Chair Wood

• Enter the public part of Bois de la Chaise. The walk takes you through the paths of this wood of green oaks, maritime pines and mimosas with blooming bright in winter.

• Gaillardin path

• Admire the beautiful villas built at different times of the twentieth century.

• Neighborhood Banzeau

• You are in the old district of Banzeau, built on the former territory of the Black Abbey (7th century) and on land conquered on the ocean in the 15th century.

• Arrival
