Access

Park at the entrance to the village. Cross the village and follow the path along the river (the Gave de Pau), start of the walk.

Itinerary

30 mins from the village, at the top of the first climb, viewpoint and orientation table over the Gavarnie Cirque.

Continue and cross the Prade Plateau to the Hostellerie du Cirque bar restaurant which offers a great view of the large waterfall.

For the more athletic, the final climb leads to the foot of the large waterfall and Gavarnie Cirque.

It is possible to return via the Pailha path (for good walkers) or along the same path.

In the winter, snow shoe or cross-country outings possible to La Prade Plateau, offering magnificent views over the "white cirque".!
